our fees
- $200 per month access fee (includes cell phone and email, per family up to 4 children)
- $300 per hour for home visits Monday- Friday during the day
- $400 per hour for home visits after hours and on weekends
*We are a concierge pediatric practice and do not bill through insurance plans. However, we will provide you with the necessary documentation to file for reimbursement with your insurance provider. Please contact your insurance provider and inquire about out of network provider reimbursement rates. You may be able to use a flex savings account or health savings account towards your access fee, check with your account administrator.
Why Fee-for-Service?
Some wonder why we have adopted a fee-for-service structure rather than opting to be paid in the usual way by patients insurance companies. The reason is that our personal house call practice is fundamentally at odds with the insurance-based medical model, which perpetuates a quick fix culture, discouraging meaningful relationships between families and their doctors. By remaining out of network, At Home Pediatrics doctors and clients collaborate to make important decisions about their child’s health without interference from insurers. As a result, the quality of care is unsurpassed.
Insurers still play an important but secondary role, covering some primary care costs, emergencies, severe illness and catastrophic matters. Although At Home Pediatrics operates on a fee-for-service basis, most of our patients with PPO insurance receive some, often significant, reimbursements from their insurers for the services we provide (subject to the specific terms of each policy). Contact your insurance representative to find out reimbursement rates for out-of-network providers.
